There are a few downsides to using a smart phone instead of mobile credit card processing equipment like a Nurit 8000 terminal. First, currently there are no supported signature capturing methods or card readers. Since you are manually entering the transactions you will pay a slightly higher processing rate, second there is no way to print a receipt unless of course you happen to carry a printer with you (Authorize net will email a receipt to your customer) and third, smart phones do not support pin based debit, though you can accept debit cards and simply process them as credit card transactions.
